The Two Towers has an auction system which allows players to buy and sell from one another without risk of fraud.

Accessing the Auctions

The auctioneers, unlike other non-player characters, are interactive and respond to messages sent through tells. This allows you to communicate with them remotely to place a bid, check the items available, and more. The auctioneer will send you a tell if you are winning or losing the items you are bidding on, and you can even ask the auctioneer to send you a tell anytime a new item is listed for sale.

You only need to physically visit the auction house to drop off the items for sale, or to pick up items you have won. Optionally you can visit the auction house at any time to physically view and handle the items for sale.
