Blackout (Roleplaying/Games Help)
The game of Blackout is a slightly modified version of Bingo. You
can play this fascinating game in the gypsy camp: a 'wandering' area that
is accessible through a gypsy wagon that is placed randomly each reboot.
The game is run by Givon, the gypsy. You may play Blackout with your
fellow players or with NPCs.
The object of Blackout is to cover up all the numbers on your card in
the specified shape of the game. If the game shape was a 'plus sign',
then you would attempt to cover up the numbers called by Givon, that
corresponded with the X's on the shape card.
The price to 'buyin' to a game is 100 gold. With this, you receive
two cards to play the game with. The winner of the game receives a reward
based on how many have bought in to that game. The more people playing,
the larger the winning reward.
You can play while you have the cards in your inventory; if you drop
them or leave the room, you forfeit your turn for the current game. Cards
have 25 numbers on them, 5 per letter, for example:
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
| B| L| A| C| K| | B| L| A| C| K|
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
| 2|19|44|59|62| |13|20|38|58|64|
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
|10|16|38|60|65| | 3|26|37|57|66|
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
| 5|17|40|51|69| |10|18|44|47|61|
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
| 7|25|36|47|72| |15|19|31|49|69|

|13|22|41|58|63| | 6|17|42|56|72|
+--+--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+--+--+
For each new game, a new shape is chosen, like:
+---+---+---+---+---+
| | | X | | |
+---+---+---+---+---+
| | | X | | |
+---+---+---+---+---+
+---+---+---+---+---+

+---+---+---+---+---+
To blackout a space on your card you have to wait for the blackout
caller (Givon) to call the number in that space. Once you have blacked
out all the spaces to make the game shape on one of your cards, you need
to let Givon know you did. Be warned, do not do so unless you are a
winner, else Givon may get angry and ban you from the game.
To learn the exact syntax of commands used to play the game and mark
spots on the card, visit the blackout room and read the rule book there.
