Dwarf (Races Help)

Dwarves are a hearty race with a long and tumultuous history. While their deep mines and glittering mountain halls have quieted over the centuries, they remain a powerful, insular people as known for their skill in battle as they are for their ability in crafting both metal and stone. In a fight, they are strong and sturdy, often being the last to fall in a long melee. In turn, they are not particularly fleet of foot, or adept at learning to use magic.

Dwarves are a temperamental folk. Their pride, loyalty, and stubbornness are legendary in the same way that their axes are feared. While they tend to look out for themselves first and others second, the children of Mahal have aligned themselves with the Council of Elrond and generally stand with the other Free Races against Sauron.

Not much is known of Khuzdul, the dwarven language; it is common knowledge, though, that the word for 'dwarves' is 'khazâd,' and that a single dwarf is a 'khuzd.' Little else is willingly taught to others.
