Emote (Social command)

The emote commands broadcasts what you type to the room in the form of: '<your name> <emote text>'. For example, the command:

   emote sits down and relaxes. 

will broadcast:

   Brian sits down and relaxes.

(With your name substituted for Brian)

The shortcut (alias) for emote is ':', so in the above example you could also type ':sits down and relaxes.'

If anyone hearing you has a high awareness skill, they will detect the emote and it will be prepended with '-> '. This is to prevent players from fooling one another and 'simulating' emote text that could come from quests or combat.
