Gold transfer (Rules and Policies)
Transferring gold between two or more of your characters is a form
of cheating and multiplaying, and is a punishable offense. It's important
to note that even if you give gold to another player, then that player
gives your alt gold, even if the gold is spent and then remade by the
other character before it is given to your alt, you are transferring gold.
All of the following scenarios are forms of gold transfer:
- X gives his own alt gold directly by logging on both at once
- X gives Y gold, then Y gives X's alt gold
- X gives Y's alt gold, then Y gives X gold
- X abuses a gameplay bug to accumulate gold that is accessible by
another one of X's characters
A good way for you to know (and one of the ways that we determine)
if you are transferring gold is if there is a possibility that even a
single coin that you give to a player could end up in your alt's hands.
Gold transfers are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and while
there is occasionally unintentional overlap, we are able to find people
who exploit this rule. Intentionally transferring gold directly or
indirectly to another one or more of your characters may result in
all involved characters being deleted, including any other players that
have aided you in the transfer.
To report a gold transfer you know of, use the 'law' command.
