Guild banners (Guild Help)
What are they?
Guild Banners allow a guild to demonstrate their presence in the
game. Each guild is allowed to create (via GMedit) 3 different banners,
which then load through the Guild's GM room. They can be taken to just
about anywhere in Arda and planted there, in a display of the dominance
of the guild over the area.
- Initial purchase: Free
- Monthly rent: None
The rules
- A banner must be placed in the presence of at least 3 members.
- A banner may not be removed *except* by another guild supplanting it
with their own banner.
- Only one banner may exist in any given room.
- For one guild to supplant the banner of another guild, they must
provide *more* members for the planting than the previous guild's
flag had.
If a banner is replaced, it may be held by the replacing guild for
the duration of the reboot. Banners can be carried when not placed,
and so may be traded/ransomed back to the original owner. They may not
be auctioned.
Each banner will remain in place for the duration of the reboot,
unless removed or replaced. It is possible that banners may be lost if
left on the ground (unplanted) in any room but the armoury, just like any
other equipment.
How to plant
With enough guild members with you, hold the banner and 'plant' it.
You and your members must remain in the room and out of combat for a
short period of time, after which your banner will be planted in the
room and immovable.
