Inactivity (Rules and Policies)
Characters which are not used for a long period of time may be
periodically deleted automatically by the MUD. A formula based on the
age of the character is used to determine who will be deleted and who
will survive. Essentially, your character's age in hours is equal to
the maximum number of days you may stay away between logins without being
deleted. For example, if your character were 90 hours old, you could
safely stay away from the MUD for 90 days, but any longer than that and
you would risk deletion. You can always be away from the MUD for two
weeks, irrespective of your age.
As of September 2008, no character at or over 1 DAY of character age
will be deleted by the inactive purge process. Also note that the purge
is not run during the summer months, when many of our players are on
vacation from school/college.
NOTE: |
If you hibernate a character, do not expect an immortal to nullify
your choice if you change your mind!
