News (System command)

news [new | next | # | archives | archives # |

The news command by itself will show all the current MUD news. The
news usually are about major updates to the game or important announcements
by the MUD staff such as policy (rules) changes. Smaller changes are
documented within the 'updates' command instead.
The news system works just like a bulletin board. You can type
'news new' to read new notes, and 'news next' to read the next note. You
can also read specific note with 'news #'.
To view the list of archived posts over the last 6 months, type
'news archives'. To view a specific post in the archive list, type
'news archives #' e.g. news archives 30
To search the news, type 'news search <criteria>'. To search the
news archives, type 'news search -archives <criteria>' where <criteria>
is what you're searching for.
