Pelt strings (Objects Help)
A pelt string is a long leather belt with metal loops where animal
pelts can be attached. It is a convenient item for hunters, allowing them
to carry more pelts than they would be able to, for example, put in a pack.
In game, pelt strings are working similar to container objects, however
they are restricted to just one type of item: animal pelts. Because of
this restriction, they also have larger "capacity" than other containers
you could use. As "pelting" is a very popular form of obtaining gold in
the game, pelt strings are prized items.
While a pelt string is a container, the "get" and "put" commands do
not work as usual for it. Instead, to use your pelt you can:
- attach pelt to string
- unattach pelt from string
There are a few places where pelt strings can be obtained, and not
all of them are reachable by low level players. It is likely, however,
that some players may have sold their strings to shops, so you should
always check if there is one for sale. Otherwise, you will have to learn
the places where pelt strings can be obtained, or ask other players for
assistance.
