Profanity (Rules and Policies)

Obscene language, profanity, graphic sexual language, and gross sexual innuendo are not allowed in any public forum. Discriminatory language (racist, sexist, homophobic, etc) is not allowed anywhere at any time. This includes slang/derogatory usage of words like "gay", as well as slang use of the word "rape". Using "gay" as a synonym for bad or stupid is forbidden on public channels/boards, as is using the word "rape" (and its derivatives) as a synonym for destroy/beat/whatever.

Using special characters (*, $, etc), extra spaces, or intentional typos to write an obscene word will still be seen as a violation of the profanity rules.

To prevent the situation of profanity being disguised in languages which we cannot translate, we require English to be used in all public forums.

The profanity and English-only rules apply everywhere except in tells to friends and says/emotes in a private area (such as an Inn room) in the presence of friends only.
