Public relations (Rules and Policies)
The Two Towers MUD is an ongoing creative work by fans, for fans,
of Tolkien's world of Middle-earth. T2T is inhabited by a community
of players from around the globe and is maintained by volunteers who
oversee the development of this world for players to enjoy.
One of the best ways to support the MUD is to promote T2T yourself.
Outside the discovery of official Valinor-sponsored advertisements and
incidentally stumbling into the world by accident, direct word-of-mouth
recommendations from family, friends, and internet strangers are one of
the primary ways players have discovered T2T. We encourage you to share
your experiences in Arda far and wide so new adventurers can discover
what The Two Towers has to offer.
If you wish to contribute in a more coordinated, official capacity,
consider becoming a volunteer public relations representative. Public
representatives of the MUD will be granted access to an exclusive news
board and will work with Valinor to market and promote the MUD through
primarily mortal-led grassroot efforts. This position does not require
a person to immort, only their time and an ongoing enthusiasm for T2T.
If you have a way with words and/or digital media, an aptitude for
analytics, and a true passion for the MUD, this position is an ideal
way for you to contribute! Please note that this work is primarily
self-driven in terms of leading and implementing marketing strategies
and tactics. Eligibility for and acceptance into this position are
determined on a case-by-case basis.
