Unique (General Help)

A "unique" is an item of which only one of appear in the MUD at any given time (hence, unique). Because of this, uniques are typically very powerful items to be treasured highly by their owners. Furthermore, since the MUD reboot resets all items, including uniques, at reboot time you can take part in a "unique hunt" - an activity in which most of the guilds participate to claim the uniques for their armouries!

A "semi-unique" is an item that either resets very slowly, or can only be present in a few instances at the same time (but more than one). While not as valuable as uniques, they are often also very much sought after.
