Color (Configuration command)
Usage: |
color color <on|off> color extended_color [on|off] color <class> <colorcode>
|
The 'color' command invoked with no arguments will take you to the
color menu, where you may set your color preferences. You will be given
a list of all message classes available to your character, as well as all
available color codes. Details as to where each class is used can be
read in 'help color classes'.
If you do not wish to use colors, you may use the 'color off' syntax
to disable all text coloring. 'color on' will bring the colors back.
To enable extended colors (background colors, font attributes, etc.) use
'color extended_color on'. Be aware, however, that not all MUD clients
support extended colors.
The 'color <class> <colorcode>' syntax lets you to set your colors
quickly bypassing the menu. A class can be any from 'help color classes',
and colorcode may be any from 'help colorcodes'. Furthermore, the
colorcode can also contain any of the extended colors shown below:
$BRED$ - red $BGRN$ - green
$BYEL$ - yellow $BBLU$ - blue
$BMAG$ - purple $BCYN$ - cyan
$BWHT$ - white $BNOR$ - none
$UND$ - underline $ITAL$ - italic
$BLINK$ - blink
Note that you CANNOT use these extended color codes in the same way
as normal color codes. They will only work within the confines of the
color command. You cannot use them in normal text, as you can with the
regular color codes.
If your client supports MXP (the Mud eXtension Protocol), you can set
your foreground and background colors to any HTML color (either by name or
by using the HTML hex code). Some clients (such as ZMud or CMud) can also
allow you to set different font and font size for MUD messages.
MXP-specific settings can only be set from the color menu; they are not
available in the command line call.
If you are using the Two Towers web or facebook client, you may also
alter your game colors in the window available under 'options' button.
