Enchant (Wizard ability)
Usage: |
enchant <item> [with <spell>]
|
The enchant ability allows you to put a spell onto an item. When
enchanting an item with a spell, many endurance points will be used.
However, you can later cast the spell from the enchanted object and with
little to none of the normal endurance needed. The enchanted item must
be held in your hand or be 'unhanded' in order to cast from it, and it
will automatically be used (and consumed) when you next attempt to cast
that spell.
If the optional [with <spell>] is not used, enchant <item> can tell
you if an item is enchanted, and what spell is on it.
Enchanting is primarily a wizard ability and its success is based
on 6th sense and control magic skills. The EP cost to successfully enchant
an item depends on the spell you are enchanting it with; it will be about
twice as high as the cost to 'normally' cast the spell. The cost of
failure is 20 EP.
