Haradrim (Races Help)

The Haradrim are a race of Men who are old enemies of Gondor. Their life in Near and Far Harad has made them dark of skin, keen of eye, and large and strong enough to survive in the harsh wastes. While not as bright as the Black Numenoreans, they are cunning hunters with a rich culture which ranges from expansive barter networks to an understanding of astronomy.

Above all, the Haradrim are known and feared for their ability to master wild beasts and use them as mounts. Skillful riders rivaled only by the Eorlings, the Men of Harad have managed to tame the great oliphaunts known as Mûmakil. Sauron, valuing their mastery of these massive weapons of war, has recently mobilized the Haradrim against the lands of Gondor and their coming is certainly a threat to all the Free.

The Men of Harad speak a tongue known as Haradaic. One unusual convention is to attach their tribe surnames to their given name with an apostrophe instead of a space, e.g. Tomas'qata.
