Idea (System command)

idea [optional item]

This command will put you into text entry mode to enter an idea report.
An idea report is a way for you to present a suggestion to improve either
the game in general, or a particular area or item.
Please be aware that due to our limited resources and time and the
amount of idea reports we receive, we only implement a small portion of
them. However, to increase chances of your idea report coming through,
follow these guidelines:
- Do not report anything mentioned in 'help fsi'. It is a waste of time!
- Make sure you clearly state why something needs changing. A mere
request 'do this!' without a reason is not enough!
- Keeping in mind the above, make sure your idea is short and to the
point. Reading through multi-page essays is not what we look forward
to when browsing players' reports! :)
- File one idea report per one issue. It is much easier to maintain
them this way.
- Keep your idea small in scope. We can add a new help file, add an
NPC or item here or there, or improve an existing command in some way.
We will not, however, implement a whole new game system or add a whole
new quest. These things take weeks or months to design and implement,
and require an ainu dedicated to push them through. If you are looking
for a change of that scope, see 'help immorting'!
If you use 'idea' without an argument, it will be assumed your idea
report refers to the room you are in or a more general matter. With an
argument, it will be assumed your report concerns the item you specify.
Please do not forget to use the latter syntax when referring to an item!
It greatly helps us when checking the reports.
If you have filed an idea report and it has been implemented (you
will be notified about that through MUD mail), be sure to pray at a
nearby temple to claim your reward from the Ainur!
