Mud alignment (General Help)
The Two Towers is set at a time before the One Ring is destroyed by
Frodo. Unlike the book, however, the end here is not certain. Here on
T2T Sauron can still prevail over Good. Then again, maybe the Good guys
could pull off a victory... Who knows?
To express this potential for Good conquering Evil or Evil over
Good we have developed a "MUD alignment". It is is a system of global
announcements that give an indication of how the War is going. The
messages refer to the battle on Pelennor fields that is currently ongoing.
The more evil creatures are killed the more optimistic the message. The
more good creatures are killed, the closer the forces of Sauron are to
capturing the One Ring and ruling the world, and the darker the tone of
the message.

The possibility of victory for the Forces of Good in Tolkien's
works was bleak and it is no different here. You are going to have
to work hard to influence the tide of the battle...
