"Speedwalking" in the MUD jargon means quickly moving from one place
to another, traversing through many rooms with minimal typing on the
player's part. The Two Towers offers two forms of speedwalking:
travelto - Travelto is a command available at sign posts that are
placed at or very near the gates of the main towns. It allows you
to quickly move between these towns, travelling on the main roads.
do - The 'do' command has actually more uses than just speedwalking;
its main purpose is to execute a sequence of commands as a single one.
For purposes of walking, you could for example use it like this:
"do 12w,4n". This will make you go 12 rooms west and then 4 rooms
north. If the number for the first command is less or equal 10,
you could skip the "do" part from the command; for example, you could
type just "7w,5n" to move 7 rooms west and 5 north.
