Track (Ranger/Sniffer ability)
Usage: |
track <player name> track check track <follow|stop|resume|return>
|
The track command lets you follow the steps of a certain character,
up to his current location. You may only follow one character at a time;
you can set your current "target" with the "track <player name>"
command. At any time after that you may re-check what target you
have set with "track check".
Once you set your target, you may start tracking him with
"track follow": this will of course only work in a room that your
target passed through at some time.
While tracking, you may:
- track stop - stop following the tracks
- track resume - resume following after stopping
- track return - return to point of origin, that is the one where
you used "track follow"
Note: |
For technical reasons, you will be unable to "track follow"
a character from a spot that he passed through *before* you set
him as a target. Be sure to set your target early enough!
|
Track is primarily a ranger and sniffer ability. Success is based
on the 'tracking' skill, and the time elapsed since the target was
last in the area. A successful attempt costs 25 EP, while a failed one
costs 10 EP.
