Arrows (Objects Help)
Arrows, in short, are long pointy sticks. You store them in quivers.
They serve as ammunition for the bow. Without arrows, the bow is
essentially useless.
Arrows can be lodged into a target and stay there. Should that target
be you, you will have to manually 'yank' them out. You should better do
this fast, as the consequences of having arrows lodged in yourself are
rather unpleasant. With an arrow protruding from your body, you will
notice a decrease in your natural healing. With multiple arrows, you will
notice your health dropping.
Arrows can be 'salvage'ed in a room or off of a corpse once they have
been shot, so that they may be retrieved and used again (they might need
repairing afterwards via the 'fletch' command).
The most commonly used and fastest way of obtaining arrows is to
'fletch' them yourself in a forested area. However, if you seek better
bow ammunition, you will either have to buy your arrows in one of the
archery stores in Arda, or loot them from NPC corpses. There are also
several quests with very good arrows available as their reward.
Some arrows may have various side effects other than simply damage.
For example, orcs have been known to use arrows with poisonous tips...
