Defense is the opposite of your attack skill. If you want to be
damaged less in combat then you would want to have a high defense skill.
Defense is the art of using armour to your best advantage, and thus is
not taken into account at all if you do not wear any armour. This skill
will also determine how well you can shield another player against
incoming blows. Defense is a common skill and is used by every player
regardless of their profession. It can rise on its own while you are in
combat but the increases will come slow so it is best to train it with
gold when you can.
