Steal (Thief ability)

This command allows you to attempt to steal gold or an item from
someone else. If you attempt to steal gold, you may use an optional
argument. These arguments help you determine how much gold you will get
from your victim. Note that the more you try to take, the harder it is
to succeed and the easier it is to be caught.
If you are the victim of theft, you can report the player who stole
from you in the nearest courthouse.
Stealing while hiding may improve your chances of success, as will
the level of your theft skill. A successful attempt costs 20 EP, while
a failed one costs 5 EP.
You will be unable to steal from other players until you have been
online for 10 minutes. This restriction does not apply during the first
3 hours of a reboot or when targeting wanted criminals. NPCs may be
stolen from at any time after logging in.
