Riding skill determines how well you ride a horse. The higher your
skill, the faster you can spur your mount and travel at breakneck speeds
across the land. This skill also helps you to control the more "difficult"
mounts. Riding does not allow you to fight from horseback, though; the
mounted combat skill must be trained to learn how to effectively fight
from the back of a mount. Riding is a common skill that can be used by
all players regardless of their profession. It can increase due to use
while riding a mount but it is best to just train the skill with gold.
